1) Visit Bristol Zoo

Bristol Zoo was opened almost 200 years ago, making it one of the oldest zoos in the world. The zoo plays an active role in conservation and takes part in breeding programmes designed to aid the repopulation of certain endangered species including Lemurs. 2) Visit the Harbourside’s very own Harbour Festival

The harbour festival takes place every July just after exam time, hosting entertainment that covers art, music, dance, boats and sometimes a circus with performers. Even when the festival isn’t taking place the harbour side makes for an excellent walk.

3) Visit the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta 

Taking place outside of the academic year during the summer this international hot air balloon is highly worth making the trip back to Bristol if you’re not already staying there. Over 150 hot air balloons take to the air for a truly breathtaking experience.

4) Banksy Graffiti Tour

The world’s most famous graffiti artist whose identity still remains a mystery however it is universally accepted that he is likely a Bristolian, with the city sprinkled with many of his magic pieces.

5) Visit Leigh Woods

The natural wilderness is run by the national trust and is just a short trip outside of Bristol. The place is perfect if you’re looking to decompress from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are excellent mountain biking trails and running routes if those are your thing.
