Liverpool Student Areas
Most first year students choose to stay in student halls across the city centre whilst large proportion of 2nd and 3rd year students go on to populate the student area of Smithdown, aptly named after Smithdown Street of which the student hotspot is situated around.
An active community of students can be found prior to arrival University online through these student groups. Discussions range from university courses and student societies to welcome week queries and freshers nightlife plans.
As with any of the UK’s great cities, Liverpool’s known for it’s cultural offerings both past and present, however having previously hosted the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) and having earned the prestigious UNESCO world heritage site status, Liverpool has much to be proud of.
Liverpool Student Nightlife
Much of the nightlife is concentrated around Consett Square, with landmark venues such as Elektrik Warehouse who play host to huge unmissable Freshers Events such as The Big Freshers Lockdown & more.
Just a short walk away from Consett Square you also have the iconic Liverpool waterfront and dockside, home to a number of bars and restaurants. In addition Liverpool features a number of key annual events which include the likes of the Grand National at Aintree and Creamfields festival.
